Does Natural Latex Sleep Hot Like Memory Foam?
Are There Springs in Your Mattress?
We could never recommend spring mattresses since they push back against your body, with an equal force that your body weight is applying to the coils. We found that this makes proper support unachievable. You may lack support because your body does not push down evenly.
How Durable Is The Fitzwilliam?
Is the Mattress Reversible?
Do you have Memory Foam in Your Mattress?
We also found that memory foam does not provide optimal support for your body, as your body sinks into this type of foam.
Hot sleeping is another reason why we don’t use memory foam. Sleeping warm may contribute to restless sleep.
Do You Do Bed-In-A-Box?
Firstly, while researching, we concluded that if a mattress can be compressed to fit in a small box, it can’t possibly offer enough support, comfort, and alignment.
Additionally, even if we could compress our mattresses to fit in a tiny box, this strain would risk permanent damage to the mattress by reducing its resiliency.
Hot sleeping is another reason why we don’t use memory foam. Sleeping warm may contribute to restless sleep.

My initial research was based on a good mattress but more so on an environmentally friendly product, we got both in an abundance in the Fitzwilliam mattress. Neither of us wake with any of the aches and pains we would have experienced previously in fact we move far less which is aided by the fact we have the pillows too, which support the head and neck in the right way, no more fluffing and faffing about with feather pillows, its great! I find I get out of bed with ease, I know I am getting a sounder healthier nights’ sleep as I feel my energy is restored on waking. However, I will be honest and say the consistent night’s sleep did not happen straight away for me but now after nearly two months we both can say we sleep really well. Love it!

I suffer from arthritis and have had two hip replacements before the age of 62yrs. I recently bought the Fitzwilliam mattress and was very impressed both with the customer service and the quality of the mattress. I cannot bear memory foam as I am a hot sleeper, and decided that latex seemed to tick all the boxes, not least because of its longevity as compared with sprung mattresses. Sinead was very helpful and oversaw the whole order and delivery process. I initially found the mattress quite hard, but the latex foam seems to soften with your body heat and definitely provides excellent support. My acute episode of arthritis ‘flare’ has subsided, but whether this was due to timing or to using the mattress, only time will tell! Certainly I am sleeping far better and not waking miserable and sore! Now I am back to requiring an inbuilt ejector mechanism on timer! Thank you so much lads!
