Sleeps cool
Eucalyptus-derived Tencel® wicks moisture and breathes far better than cotton or polyester. Combined with the perforated latex below, it stops the night-sweats and overheating that memory-foam sleepers complain about.Eucalyptus Tencel® wicks moisture and breathes. No night-sweats or memory-foam overheating.
Pressure relief
Soft, responsive latex cushions head, neck and shoulders so you can change position without that pins-and-needles wake-up — and find your comfortable spot without tossing through the night.Cushions head, neck and shoulders so you change position without the wake-up, and settle without tossing.
Spinal alignment
The clinical heart of the mattress — firm enough to hold your lumbar curve in neutral. Stops the lower-back collapse that's the root cause of most morning back and hip pain.Holds your lumbar curve in neutral. The layer that ends most morning back & hip pain.
Built to last
Dense natural latex base — the foundation that keeps every layer above doing its job. Cheap mattresses sag at the centre within a few years and pull your spine out of line; this one stays firm a decade in.Dense latex base that won't sag. Keeps every layer doing its job for 10+ years.
Two natural materials. Nothing else.
Used across all 4 layers — Tencel® cover + 3 latex densities.

Tencel from eucalyptus
Sustainable wood-pulp fibre. Wicks moisture, sleeps cool.

Natural latex
Hevea tree sap, whipped into open-cell foam. Breathable, springs back instantly.
Three densities form the comfort, corrective and support layers.
Designed differently than memory foam or springs
A chiropractor (Dr. Lawrence Woods), a chartered physiotherapist (Kate Ryan), and a molecular biologist (Dr. Sinéad Moore) co-specified every layer. Most mass-market mattresses are designed for shippability and price-point — not for the spine on top of them.
Targeted zoning means the lumbar gets firmer support and the shoulder gets give — your spine stays in its natural S-curve regardless of position. Memory foam can sink the hips out of alignment over the night; uniform springs leave the lumbar unsupported.
Open-cell natural latex with pinholes through every block, topped with a Tencel® cover that wicks moisture. Memory foam's closed-cell structure traps body heat — common reason people wake up overheated.
Natural latex, natural-latex adhesive, Tencel® cover. No polyurethane foams and no added brominated flame retardants on our latex layers. Material spec vetted by Dr. Sinéad Moore (DCU-trained scientist).
Natural latex doesn't break down the way polyurethane does. Real-world Spinery mattresses are still in service after a decade. Memory foam typically loses meaningful support after 5–7 years; springs can sag or develop pressure points by year 7.
100 nights at home + free pressure-mapping in the Dublin showroom. If it isn't right, get in touch between 30 and 100 nights and we'll guide you through the return. Most competitors give you the trial but skip the in-person fitting. Full returns policy →

Your first month on a Spinery mattress
What's normal as your body settles in.
Proper support, from night one
Your body has spent years adjusting to whatever you slept on before. The first few nights are your muscles relaxing into a surface that finally holds you in proper alignment.
Sleep starts to feel different
Many customers tell us they're falling asleep faster — and noticing the Tencel® cover sleeps far cooler than memory foam.
Aligned
Your body now expects the support that's there every night. Most customers tell us this is when the mattress stops feeling new and starts feeling like theirs.
Your new normal
Fully adjusted to proper alignment. And if anything still feels off, the 100-night trial gives us time to make it right.
Your questions, answered by our chiropractor
No fluff, no marketing speak — clinical answers from Dr. Lawrence Woods, who designed the layer system.
Will it help my lower-back pain?
Lower-back pain that worsens overnight is often linked to a mattress that lets the lumbar curve drop out of neutral. The Spinery's corrective layer is firm enough to support the lumbar arch, while the comfort layer above cushions hips and shoulders. Many customers tell us they notice the difference in the first few weeks of sleeping on it — and the 100-night trial gives your body plenty of time to adjust before you decide. As always, talk to your physio or GP about persistent back pain.
I'm a side sleeper — which comfort level should I choose?
Side sleepers usually benefit from the Elite 25cm — the extra depth lets your shoulder and hip sink in just enough to keep the spine in its natural alignment, while still supporting the waist. The Original 20cm works well if you're under ~80kg or alternate between side and back sleeping. If you sleep almost exclusively on your side and weigh over 90kg, go Elite.
Will this help with sciatica or a herniated disc?
The Spinery is a mattress, not a medical device — we can't make claims about treating sciatica or disc problems. What we can say is that the design supports proper spinal alignment, which is what your physio or chiropractor is trying to restore during treatment. If you're in active care, talk to them before changing your sleep setup.
How long until I feel a difference?
The first 2–3 nights can feel unfamiliar — your body has adapted to wherever your old mattress sagged. Around night 7–14 most people notice they're waking up less stiff. Full adjustment lands at 3–4 weeks. That's why we ship every mattress with a 100-night trial — plenty of time for your spine to settle before you decide.
I'm heavier — will it sag?
Natural latex doesn't break down the way memory foam does — there's no body impression after years of use. The support layer is rated for sleepers up to 150 kg without compromising firmness. If you're over 100 kg, we recommend the Elite 25cm: the extra depth gives the corrective layer more room to do its job.
Is it good for couples? Will I feel my partner moving?
Latex isolates motion better than spring mattresses and almost as well as memory foam — but without the trapped-heat problem. Your partner getting up, rolling over, or climbing in late won't bounce across the bed. We've had plenty of customers tell us they slept through their newborn-stage partner's feeds for the first time in years.
What if I don't like it?
You get 100 nights to decide. After 30 nights, if it's not right for you, get in touch and we'll guide you through the return and refund. Using a mattress protector throughout the trial is a good idea, since the mattress needs to be returned in clean, donatable condition. See full returns policy →
